'Bush' Directed by Oliver Stone

Source: Slashfilm
George W. Bush is set to be immortalized in film after world renowned director Oliver Stone announced that he would direct a movie based on the controversial U.S. President's life.

Josh Brolin, fresh from the smash hit No Country For Old Men, is set to star as the 43rd President which, according to Stone will be, "a fair and true portrayal of the man."

Stone wants the film, titled Bush, to cover not only recent events in the current President's career, but also detailing George's history of alleged cocaine & alcohol abuse, his conversion to Christianity, and living in his father's shadow.

To me, this sounds like an excellent premise for a film. Love him or hate him, George W. Bush gets a reaction out of people, and Oliver Stone has proven time and time again that he can deliver (aside from the dubious Alexander) with films like JFK, Any Given Sunday, Platoon and Wall Street. Matching up a superstar director with the kind of material that will interest both fans and enemies of George W. Bush sounds like dynamite.
