It's a sad day to report that one of Australia's best loved movie stars, Heath Ledger, has passed away in his Manhattan apartment early this morning.
Ledger, star of films such as Brokeback Mountain, The Brothers Grimm and The Patriot has reportedly suffered from an accidental overdose on sleeping pills. Discovered at 3.30pm by a housekeeper, Ledger was unable to be awoken. When paramedics arrived, he was in full cardiac arrest. Despite CPR being performed, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Heath is survived by former fiancee Michelle Williams and their two-year-old daughter Matilda Rose.
Truly a tragic event, I am just shocked by this news. Heath was one of the brightest young stars in Hollywood and this feels like such a terrible waste for someone with such talent and so much to live for.

i am feel terribly bad for his young daughter, Matilda, for she will never get a chance to know her amazing father. even though he is not with us anymore, he will forever remain in our hearts. May Heath Ledger rest in peace.
