The Incredible Hulk Trailer Online!

Well it's been a long, long time coming, but finally The Incredible Hulk is almost upon us. The trailer is online, and it looks like it could be the movie that everyone hoped from Ang Lee's ill-received Hulk back in 2003.

Hulk SMASH!

Let's be honest, while Ang Lee's version had its moments, it was also plagued by more than its fair share of problems. Comic-book style scene transitions, a really odd villain, mutant-dogs and some really cheesy romantic moments between Eric Bana and Jennifer Connelly.

This new one seems to be bringing Hulk back to its roots. Originally written as a sequel by screenwriter Zac Penn, Ed Norton himself rewrote the script to make it a standalone project - removing all connection with the previous movie and "rebooting" the Hulk story and origins.

The stars are definitely there in spades. Ed Norton playing it up as Bruce Banner, Liv Tyler back in form as the love interest Betty Ross, Tim Roth as professional soldier Emil Blonsky/The Abomination and of course, Robert Downey Jr. aka Tony Stark aka Iron Man making a cameo.

The Abomination!

The enemy in the film, The Abomination, seems to be a worthy adversary for our hero Hulk. Created out of ribcage, adrenaline, aggression, muscle and sinew - he will definitely pull his weight in the fight scenes.

All up, providing the CGI gets neatened up a little bit then this looks to be a worthy blockbuster. An interview between Empire Magazine and director Louis Leterrier (see it here) revealed that one fight scene in the film lasts a full 26 minutes, and Hulk appears within the first 5 minutes of the film.

It's looking to be a great year for Hulkamaniacs. Click on the image below to check out the trailer:
