Every fortnight or so we like to reward those members of ours who take the time to write movie reviews that catch our eye.
Among the many one-word reviews, there are odd gems here and there from people who take their films seriously enough to spend a bit of time putting their movie opinions out for the world to see.

cmcread - Deja Vu (Blu-ray)
We really liked this movie - I am into things that are a little bit twisted and confusing so this fit my bill perfectly, although there were parts that were unbelievable, if you take your brain out at the door, then this one is totally worth it.
Jeff D. - Tales From Earthsea
Beautifully directed movie from Studio Ghibli! might scare the kids in some areas but otherwise it was rather reminiscent of Laputa (Raputa) from Miyazaki (also Ghibli) but much more focus on the magic elements than most other films from the same studios. A feel good flick that will have you interested from start to finish. Well worth the watch with some popcorn and some friends.
