Sopranos Movie On The Way?

source: msnbc.com
Rumours of a film adaptation of The Sopranos are at fever pitch after confirmation has come from an unusual (but reliable) source.

The manager of the Satin Dolls strip club in New Jersey, Nick D’Urso, received a phone call advising him not to make any renovations to his establishment.

The Satin Dolls strip club is better known to Sopranos fans as the Bada Bing, and D’Urso claims the phone call came from a very reliable insider working on the script for an upcoming Sopranos movie.

After six seasons of perfection, The Sopranos came to a fittingly beautiful, yet abrupt close in last year’s season finale.

Fans scoured the final moments for answers, but the as-always cryptic show creator David Chase was unwilling to divulge the fate of mob boss Tony Soprano and his two families.

HBO has denied any film is in production, a similar stance they made when their other flagship show Sex and the City finished in 2004.

The Sex and the City movie hits cinemas May 30 this year.

So is this good news or bad news? Do we want more answers, or was the finale the only way for the show to go? Could the film be a prequel, focusing on Tony’s grandparents as they enter the country? Let us know how you feel Sopranos fans.
