JK Rowling Writes Secret Harry Potter Prequel

source: news.com.au
UK billionaire author JK Rowling has written a prequel to her massively popular Harry Potter series.

After being asked by a charity to pen a short-story or... really anything, Rowling responded with an 800-word story on the boy wizard written on thirteen A5 sized cards.

The prequel, which won't be published, comes around a year after her final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was published and subsequently sold like hotcakes.

The auction house responsible for the sale of the item is understandably ecstatic over the chance to sell off such an item, with a spokesperson saying that:

"There's just no telling how high the bidding might go.

Given the enormous interest we have seen in recent times for autograph work by JK Rowling, the prospects for her storycard are good to say the least"
Rowling apparently has no wish to develop the story any further, writing at the end of the story, "From the prequel I am not working on - but that was fun!".

Money raised goes towards the charities known as English PEN and Dyslexia Action.
