It has been revealed that Sacha Baron Cohen will step out alongside Will Ferrell, in a Judd Apatow and Etan Cohen (no relation to either Ethan & Joel or Sacha, but co-writer of Tropic Thunder) penned version of Sherlock Holmes. Cohen will play the super-sleuth Holmes and Ferrell his sidekick, Dr Watson.
Following the success of their pairing in Talladega Nights, this movie is bound to be highly anticipated, especially considering it will be going head-to-head with a Guy Ritchie version of the same story. There is no doubt that one of these versions will take itself far more seriously than the other, but it will be interesting to see how things pan out; can Guy Ritchie make a long-awaited return to form after his much hyped Revolver failed to earn a release in Australia, or will Hollywood's hottest comic property continue his barnstorming run to ultimate super-greatness? Only time will tell, but my money is on Apatow/Cohen/Ferrell to recreate some of the onscreen chemistry that led to moments like this at the MTV Awards.

This is the worst idea ever.
Sherlock Holmes is amazing.
Will Ferrell is the opposite.
