Arnie Worried About New Terminator - Is It Made By 'Girlie Men'?

Remember when Arnie said Terminator 3 would be the last film of the franchise? He lied.

The Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has stated his concern with Terminator Salvation, the latest film in the Terminator franchise, starring Christian Bale as John Connor.

For those unfamiliar with his early work, Governor Schwarzenegger was the star of many action films and zany comedies before he entered politics.

In an interview with the LA Times, Schwarzenegger claimed he was confused by the advance footage he saw in a private screening, and worried about the pressure the film would face.

"I don't have a feel for the movie. I didn't see enough. I wasn't sure who the Terminator was. I don't know if there is one or if he's the star or the hero. These are the things that determine the success and how the strong the movie will be."

He also had this to say on the prospect of T4 trumping The Dark Knight at the box office:

"If [director McG] has the T4 and the kind of shots that has the audience thinking, 'Now how did he do that?' -- then it is 'Terminator' and you can blow everyone away and every record at the box office".

Umm, yes. I think his point is clear, even if his grasp of the English language is tenuous at best.

I think the footage for Terminator Salvation looks absolutely killer so far, and according to the reports from Comic Con, the film may end up being the R-rated bloodbath that we've all been dreaming about. But, Arnie does know what he's talking about. After all, he should know if a film looks bad or not. I mean, HE'S never made a stupid film.

Oh, right.
