The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan has put together a cast of Oscar-winners, cult heroes and breaking superstars for his next film Inception.
Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Cillian Murphy will join the previously cast Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page and Marion Cotillard in the highly secretive sci-fi project.
Michael Caine told In Contention that he would have “a little part in it“, taking up about 3 days of filming time. Caine previously worked with Nolan on Batman Begins, The Prestige and The Dark Knight.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gordon-Levitt (who we are big fans of over here) will play an associate of DiCaprio’s CEO-type character.
Cotillard will star as DiCaprio’s wife, while Page will play his student/sidekick. It is unknown what role Murphy will take. I can only hope he takes on a villainous role, because his Scarecrow was brutally underutilised by Nolan in 2005′s Batman Begins.
Still no plot details to report on, but with a cast like this (and a director like Nolan), it’s safe to say that Inception will be one of the biggest (and hopefully) best films of 2010.
What are your thoughts on this cast?
