Oscar-nominated screenwriter Peter Morgan has been hired to write the next Bond film, along with Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.
Morgan, who wrote The Last King of Scotland, The Queen and Frost/Nixon (which was adapted from his own play) will replace gun-for-hire Paul Haggis, who contributed to 2006′s Casino Royale and 2008′s Quantum of Solace.
Bond 23 will be the fifth Bond film written by Purvis and Wade.
Daniel Craig is also slated to return for another outing as James Bond.
Discuss: What are your thoughts on Morgan? I personally think he is one of the best writers working today (he also provided an uncredited rewrite on State of Play). Also, what are your thoughts on Quantum of Solace? I wasn’t too big of a fan, despite loving Casino Royale.

Liked casino royale, i thought the opening scene was awesome!i'm a huge bond fan as are are most blokes but quantum of solace f*****g sucked, it didn't feel like a bond movie,it didnt give me the goosebumps when i heard the bond music. It was just another action movie and nothing but.I hope they can make it up in bond 23, i would love to see some new gadgets. I want those goosebumps when the bond tune starts and i know something big is about to happen!
