Director Edgar Wright has updated his official blog with pictures from his upcoming film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, which I have already predicted will be the best film of 2010. The pictures feature some of his lovely leading ladies.
In this first picture, we see Mary Elizabeth Winstead (left) and Anna Kendrick (right). Winstead plays Ramona Flowers, the American love interest of Canadian slacker/bass player Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). Kendrick will star as Pilgrim's younger sister.
Here is the first official picture of Alison Pill as Kim Pine, former girlfriend of Pilgrim and drummer of Scott's band Sex Bob-omb.
And, ahem, OK, although we can't be 100% sure who this is exactly, I'm pretty sure it is the demonic hench-woman of Matthew Patel, who is the first of seven evil ex-boyfriends that Scott must battle before he can claim Ramona as his own.
The Quickflix office is torn over Scott Pilgrim. Whilst I believe that Bryan Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim comic series is the most entertaining and accurate artistic representations of Gen Y's going round, others (cough DVDman cough) thinks that comic books are for children. I'll guess one of us will have the last laugh when Scott Pilgrim vs. The World hits cinemas in 2010. (P.S. It'll be me).
Discuss: Are comic books for children, and children alone?

Perhaps pictures of pretty ladies will get you interested in Scott Pilgrim?
