The trailer for Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant has debuted online.
The $80 million production is directed by Paul Weitz, and stars John C. Reilly, Salma Hayek, Willem Dafoe and newcomer Chris Massoglia.
Based on the book series The Saga of Darren Shan by author, ahem, Darren Shan, the film will focus on a young man’s initiation into the world of vampires and nightmares at the Cirque Du Freak.
Interestingly, this project was originally simply titled Cirque Du Freak, but it looks as if Universal have seen the moneybags that comes along with vampires these days. After all, Paul Weitz’s brother Chris is directing The Twilight Saga’s New Moon.
