Avatar, Hurt Locker, An Education lead BAFTA nominations!

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts have announced the nominees for their 2010 awards ceremony. Avatar, An Education and The Hurt Locker lead the pack with 8 nominations each. They will compete for Best Film against Up in the Air and Precious.

The winner of the BAFTA Best Film award has matched the Academy Award's Best Picture recipient only four times in the past decade.

The BAFTAS will be handed out on the 21st of February.
