The trailer for Oliver Stone's highly anticipated sequel to Wall Street has debuted online.
Michael Douglas reprises his Oscar winning role as Gordon Gecko in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. He's joined by an impressive cast that includes Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, Josh Brolin, Frank Langella, Eli Wallach and Susan Sarandon.
I'm ashamed to say that I've never actually seen the original Wall Street, but I'll be sure to rectify that before the release of Money Never Sleeps.
Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts!
Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps takes place in June 2008; 23 years after the first film. Gordon Gekko is released from prison and back into the tumultuous financial world. When his warnings of an economic downturn fall on deaf ears, he decides to focus his attention on his estranged daughter Winnie (Mulligan). Meanwhile, Winnie's fiance Jacob (LaBeouf), himself an ambitious trader, suspects his hedge fund manager (Brolin) of killing his mentor (Langella). Jacob, seeking revenge, turns to Gekko for help.
Charlie Sheen will make a cameo appearance in the film as Bud Fox, the same character he played in the first film.
With a cast like this, it's hard not to be excited for Wall Street 2. It hits Australian cinemas April 22nd.
Discuss: Is Money Never Sleeps the most "80's" film title imaginable?
