The trailer for J.J. Abrams‘ mysterious, Steven Spielberg-produced blockbuster-to-be Super 8 has debuted online, and it is sure to send shivers of anticipation down your spine (and pangs of nostalgia into whichever part of the body where the nostalgia gland lives).
Although we got our first real look at the film during the Superbowl, this past weekend saw the release of the official feature trailer and poster (above). This new trailer gives us a much greater idea of the film we have in store without giving away too much of the mystery.
And in that spirit, I shan’t provide even a description of the trailer, only imploring you to watch it below. I will say this: getting a strong E.T. vibe from this one (crossed with Cloverfield of course).
Super 8 stars Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning, and arrives in Australian cinemas June 9.

>Agree. ET has been done. As has Cloverfield. You can't have both in the same movie -they're a different audience. Assuming it's some type of alien they'd better get the look of it right. I don't want to see Cloverfield crossed with ET. Strangely, Spielberg's involvement makes me nervous. Would much prefer a JJ Abrams endeavour.
