Back in April it was revealed that director Jake Scott would be making a biopic on the short life of musician Jeff Buckley. Although Robert Pattinson was largely considered to be frontrunner for the role, another heartthrob has seemingly snatched away the role.
Although Hollywood Life wouldn’t normally seem like the most trustworthy source, we figure they’re keeping a close eye on all matters Pattinson and Badgley.
Maybe don’t pop the champagne corks until we get some official confirmations.
The rights to Buckley’s music have been obtained, as well as the options for the David Browne book Dream Brother: The Lives and Music of Jeff and Tim Buckley. Mary Guibert, Buckley’s mother, will executive produce. Production begins in August.
