Adam Sandler dominates Razzie nominations

Today’s the day we ostensibly celebrate the very best in cinema. Thank goodness the Razzies are around to remind us that it’s not all smiles and sunshine and charismatic Jack Russell terriers.

Yes, 2011 saw some real cinematic clunkers, and the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation have revealed their picks for the worst of the year.

Unsurprisingly, Adam Sandler set a Razzie record by collecting 11 individual nominations for writing, producing, and starring in Just Go With It, Jack & Jill, and Bucky Larson: Born to Be A Star.

Only Bucky Larson and Jack & Jill cracked the not-at-all prestigious Worst Picture category, however. They will compete against New Year’s Eve, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. Competitive!

  1. most of these actors, actresses and movies don’t deserve to be nominated for a raspberry. its totally stupid. shame on u! you know who u are

  2. Anyone who has had the misfortune to see Big Mommas: Like Father Like Son would be nodding heads in agreement at both fellas being nominated for Razzies. Sandler’s finally being called out too. That’s a good thing.
