Russell Crowe is Darren Aronofsky’s Noah

Deadline has confirmed the long-rumoured casting of Russell Crowe in Darren Aronofsky‘s upcoming Biblical epic Noah.

There aren’t many details available about the project, except that it will tell of Noah’s building of the ark in an “edgy” manner.

Here’s what Aronofsky had to say about the project:

“The imaginations of countless generations have sparked to this epic story of faith. It’s my hope that I can present a window into Noah’s passion and perseverance for the silver screen.”
